Use Evolis YMCFK ribbon for high-secured cards at low-cost.

Technology is enabling rapid change in the market. Identity fraud is a fast growing global threat and digital printing can allow counterfeiters to forge documents and cards.

Therefore, the YMCFK color ribbon is the ideal solution to secure the ID cards in an easy, quick, accurate and sure way.

The YMCFK ribbon consists of a full color ribbon (YMC) and a black resin (K) with an additional high-security fluorescent (F) panel:

The fluorescing panel produces grayscale images and text that only appear when the card is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.

Ultraviolet printing helps secure your cards without compromising their readability. It represents a significant security feature that helps prevent fraud, counterfeiting and forgery. Therefore, this ribbon is ideal for highly secure government applications.

The RT5F014NAA ribbon is designed to work with the Avansia card printers.

  • Fixed data (the same text or/and images printed on every card) printed with the UV panel are handled by standard Avansia printer driver.
  • Variable data (different text or/and images from one card to another) should be managed by a card designer software.

An Evolis electronic key is delivered with every color ribbon. You will have to install the ribbon first and then install the key inside the printer.

This Evolis supply uses our RFID tag system which recognizes automatically the type of ribbon installed in ther printer. Without this key, the printer will not print.

Technical features

The color ribbon is polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with thin layer of specialized coating. The concentration of colorant is very low and they are insoluble in water. In the printing process they only diffuse at temperature above 50°C.

Storage recommendations

It is recommended to use this product within one year. Avoid dust, direct sunlight, high humidity and high temperatures. Do not place near solvent or other chemicals.
