EVOLIS: 2011 SALES: €44.4 M, 15% GROWTH IN Q4

Angers, 17 January 2012 – Evolis, the leader in the European market for personalised ID card printers, today published sales for the fourth quarter and for the 2011 financial year closed on 31 December.

2011: STRONGER GROWTH IN Q4, IN LINE WITH FORECASTS

 
After excellent sales in 2010 (up 30%), Evolis continued to grow in 2011 with record sales of €44.4 million (up 4%, but 8% at a constant exchange rate) despite a negative exchange rate between the dollar and the euro  across the year.

As expected, growth picked up in the fourth quarter (up 15%) with sales of €12.1 million, the highest in history and a growth rate of 23% in the EMEA. In dollars, growth came to 18% in Asia and 7% in the Americas, respectively.

In the extremely difficult economic and geopolitical environment of 2011, aggravated for Evolis by serious natural disasters in Japan and Australia, Evolis stood out on the back of a dynamic and innovation-based strategy.
With 3% overall growth for the year, the Network business held up well, even recording significant growth in Europe. The Projects business turned in stronger growth (11%), underpinned by the banking sector in the Middle East and major government contracts in Asia (Bangladesh and Cambodia).

OUTLOOK

In the current economic and political environment, affected by persistently low visibility, management plans to stick to its innovation-driven investment strategy, intended to offer the best price-quality ratio in all printer ranges. In 2012, consolidated sales will be boosted by the growing impact of the new Zenius range, successfully launched across all networks in September 2011, and the new ranges to be launched in the first half.
The distribution networks can further be expected to benefit from the product and commercial synergies offered by Sogedex' integration in the group, generating a new growth path for Evolis in 2012.

The developments launched in 2011 will help cut costs and allow Evolis to preserve its profit margins.
