Business Development Manager (M/F)


Evolis, the worldwide leader, develops, manufactures, and sells a complete range of personalization and issuance solutions for plastic cards (personal data printing and all encoding options). A true “hunter”, result-oriented and motivated by all aspects involving sales, such as client prospection, new business development and channel management.

A sales experience of at least 4-5 years in developing sales channels the card printers, cards  and/or IT equipment industries, good technical know-how, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 


To manage and grow our strong project business as well as new account development, achieve sales targets and maximizing profit contribution.


Business development

  • Devise ways to access the company’s defined target clients, identify and develop corresponding market channels
  • Review, implement and manage business development strategies according to market trends and needs in order to successfully achieve the company defined sales target
  • Keep close contact with channels and business leads to generate business
  • Proven ability to meet & exceed sales targets
  • To identify, qualify and select potential distribution channels
  • To perform market studies when required to identify eventual new market-channel opportunities, industry trends, threats, competitive as well as perform regular benchmarking, etc.
  • To plan and implement prospection and business development within distribution channels
  • Perform “on site” product presentation to prospect channel partners
  • Provide basic sales and product training for channel partners’ sales teams

Operational Marketing

  • To propose, implement and coordinate promotional actions and marketing activities with business partners and the company’s Channel Marketing and Product Management teams according to business development objectives.
  • Assist the Marketing team  in measuring return of investment of such activities from a quantitative and/or qualitative perspective
  •  Assist in coordinating corporate exhibitions, Partner Meetings, Open Days, etc.

Sales Administration

  • Prepare annual and quarterly sales budgets and forecasts
  • Provide regular reporting when required (sales reports, meeting minutes, etc.)
  • Update sales leads and account information in the company’s CRM system (Salesforce).


·         A University Degree in Business, Sales or Marketing

·         A minimum experience of 4 to 5 years in the regional channel sales of card printers/cards or specialty ID industry

Communication Skills

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.

·         Confident & comfortable communicating with senior-level positions

Language Skills

·         Fluent (both spoken and written) Mandarin and English.

Computer Skills

·         User experience with MS Office

·         Experience with a CRM system (i.e. Salesforce),  Mac OS (Adobe InDesign)

Travel Requirements

·         The position requires extensive travelling within China and may represent up to 50% of the time. 

The position is located in Shanghai. The contract is local.
